So today was my girls very first REAL snow day! I didn't tell them last night that it was going to snow because I didn't want to get their hopes up. In July my family got together with my brother and sister and law and their daughter to celebrate the girls birthdays. We went this weekend as a family to Mt Trashmore to fly kites. It was so much fun! While we were on top of the mountain I saw how beautiful the sun looked and I wanted to try taking silhouette photos. This is my oldest daughter doing her "ballerina moves", as she calls them. My dear friend Lori had some of her family in town and wanted to get some pictures taken with them, so of course I obliged! She wanted some fun colorful images taken in the comfort of her {*amazing*} backyard! The photo shoot took a lot of effort because of the time of day and the spotty sun in the back yard. I was pleased with the individual shots I got but not as pleased with the group shots

This is the B family! I just loved everything about this photo shoot! The people, the colors, the location, the weather, the time of day, just everything. I was at a birthday party today for a friend of mine's son. It was a nice small gathering. The kids were in the back yard playing and they were all in the little house outside. I got the pleasure of photographing a sweet baby girl today who is only about 2 weeks old! She was wide awake in the beggining of the shoot, but we were able to get her to go to sleep for those sweet sleeping shots! Here is one of her wide awake.
